Puppy Care Package 

The puppy care package is given to all first time yorkie parents compliments of " The Puppy  Matchmaker" for the purpose of helping you prepare for your new puppy and to help ensure a smooth transition from our house to yours.  Having a new puppy in the house requires added responsibility and we hope these items will help make life a little bit less stressful. 

1.                    Royal Canine Puppy Info Kit Contents

        a  “Yorkshire Terriers: A Complete Pet Owner’s Manual” will help answer many of the questions that you as a new puppy owner may have.

        b.  The Health Record folder should be taken to your veterinarian on your first visit (along with the pink health certificate and the breeder shot record, which is attached to the side of the shipping crate), for you to keep a personal copy of your puppy’s medical history.

         c.  The Nutrition Book is important to read so you will understand why you should feed your puppy Royal Canine food for his/her entire lifespan.

         d.  Coupon for one free bag of Royal Canine dog food. 

        e .  New puppy owner registration card for you to fill out and mail.

2.    Royal Canine Mini Puppy Food can be purchased at Petsmart or Petco   Your puppy has been eating this dog food since weaning age.  We hope that as     your puppy turns one year old, you would continue with the Royal Canine’s  “Yorkshire Terrier Adult Formula” dog food.  For more info, visit our website.  . 

3. Nutri-cal  (4.25 oz.) Place a pea-sized amount of Nutri-cal on your puppy’s tongue (most puppies love  it and will lick it off of your fingers) every morning.  (Note: if your puppy is 2 lbs. or under at 12 weeks, please give an additional dose before bedtime.)  Do this for up to 10 days.  Do not overdo it on this product.  It can be used throughout your dog’s life in times of high stress such as travel and kennel stays.

5. Greenie Bone My puppies really seem to like these they kep down tarter and keep puppy's breath from having excessive orders.

6.  Puppy Shampoo Bar  (2 oz.) Use as directed on package.

12.  Bows & Barrettes Barrettes seem to work the best as they stay in the puppy’s hair longer.  Colored bows are to be reserved for those special occasions!  If you don’t allow your puppy to become accustomed to wearing a barrette while he/she is young, he/she may find it difficult to tolerate a bow as an adult dog.

13. Fleece bed. This bed is used during travel form my home to yours. It can be washed and used several times in mainly is used for travel purposes.
